Buckets

S Type
This bucket is designed for use in the S type Simplex only. This series
is used for the majority of end and side discharge applications.
The S type can be used in all bucket elevator configurations except the
C type. These buckets are designed to operate at standard speeds
as listed in the catalogue. Slow speed applications are not recommended
due to the bucket shape. When operating at reduced speeds smaller
products, while discharging, may fall on to the trailing edges of
the preceding buckets.
Bucket
Materials
Standard
simplex buckets are available in sturdy cast aluminium alloy, food
grade plastic or fabricated mild or stainless steel. Cast aluminium
buckets may be supplied with interiors polished and anodised, or
with Teflon or Epoxy coating, at additional cost. Buckets are easily
removed for cleaning, yet cannot fall out. Standard plastic buckets
are Polycarbonate but may be furnished in Polystyrene, Polypropylene,
Polyethylene or Nylon. These are injected and high pressure moulded
into one sturdy integral unit to withstand bending and twisting,
resist breakage and provide long, low wear service. Polycarbonate
buckets will with stand temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
C Type
This bucket was originally designed for use in the c series simplex.
Due to control requirements the c type operates at slower speeds
than the s type. This bucket design allows for the positive discharge
at very slow speeds. Due to special application requirements it
was necessary to incorporate the c type bucket in the s configuration.
Examples would be when bottom discharge is required or extremely
slow bucket speeds. This type of unit is designed as CS.
